Leo Rojas is a pan flute player from Ecuador who gained international fame after winning the talent competition "Das Supertalent" in Germany in 2011. He was born on October 18, 1984 in Otavalo, Ecuador, and grew up in a family of indigenous descent. From an early age, he learned to play several musical instruments, including the pan flute, and began performing on the streets of Europe as a young adult.
After winning "Das Supertalent," Rojas released his debut album "Spirit of the Hawk," which topped the charts in several countries including Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. He has since released multiple albums, including "Flying Heart," "Albatross," and "Pearls of the Orient."
Rojas is known for his fusion of traditional Andean music with contemporary pop and rock influences. He has performed in numerous concerts and festivals worldwide, including the World Music Festival in Dubai, the Glastonbury Festival in the UK, and the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
Despite his fame, Rojas remains committed to his indigenous roots and often incorporates traditional elements of Andean culture into his music and performances. He currently resides in Germany with his family.
